Central West LHIN receives Excellence in Patient Care Award for Employee Engagement

At the Central West LHIN, employee engagement – including leader, physician and patient engagement – is a cornerstone of our culture. It is closely linked to clinical quality, the patient experience and various aspects of organizational performance. Effective employee engagement is a source of great pride especially when we are humbly recognized for it!

We are excited and proud to announce that, as an organization, the legacy. Central West CCAC has been recognized by the Studer Group as a recipient of the Excellence in Patient Care Award for employee engagement.

“This recognition is a testament to the highly engaged culture of a passionate group of people, committed to placing the needs of patients first each and every day,” said Carmine Domanico, Chair, Central West LHIN Board of Directors. “Congratulations to everyone on this remarkable achievement.”

This award is presented annually to a select group organizations that demonstrate outstanding performance and achievement in patient care, employee engagement or physician engagement.

As a team, we continue to place considerable emphasis on employee engagement. Our last Employee Pulse Survey found that we are a highly engaged organization with an exceptional 78 per cent combined employee engagement score for both legacy organizations. This result has increased considerably from previous CCAC surveys.

Our next pulse survey, which is currently underway, will help us to
better understand the improvements we have made and where we can continue to make positive changes in our new LHIN organization.
