Service Description: Promotes public and professional awareness of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias

Programs and services:
  • support groups (ongoing monthly support group meetings, early stage, parental, spousal, as well as individualized and family support addressing specific issues)
  • free public lectures and Information Sessions throughout the year
  • stress management strategies - occasional series
  • making connections program/Alzheimer Cafes - monthly
  • friendly visiting
  • First Link Program
  • caregiver pathways support groups
  • Safely Home-Medic Alert (wandering registry)
  • volunteer training centre - use for community groups (capacity 30 people)
  • caregiver well being centre includes: A lending library of books, videos and publications of interest to families, professionals, students and the public
