Service Description: Adult day program
  • stimulating social, recreational, and therapeutic activities for adults with memory loss and/or physical frailty
  • secure and professionally supervised environment
  • much needed respite and support to family
  • hot meals and snacks, plus kosher meals upon request
  • open 7 days a week

Additional services include:

Transportation
  • $7.05 each way (subsidized rate, no further subsidy available)
  • hand-to-hand policy (caregiver must be present to escort client to the vehicle and to receive client on return)
  • transportation not wheelchair accessible
  • escorted service with staff person on board as well as driver, for additional fee
  • Finch Ave W north to Major Mackenzie Dr, Dufferin St to Bayview Ave
Nutrition
  • lunch and snacks provided, kosher meals upon request
  • food cost included in program price
  • can accommodate special diets (diabetic, pureed, etc.)
  • assistance and cueing provided
  • clients must be able to feed themselves
Mobility Assistance
  • assistance provided with mobility aids (cane, walker, wheelchair)
  • program space is wheelchair accessible
  • no scooters, motorized vehicles
  • one person assist for transfers
Incontinence
  • toileting assistance available
  • one person assistance with toileting (no two-person transfer)
  • managed urinary incontinence, no daily bowel incontinence
  • urinary incontinence (using incontinence products)
Medication Management
  • program staff administer medications under the direction of the registered nurse (RN) supervisor
  • prescription must be in blister packs with instructions
  • cannot administer insulin or injections
  • catheter, ostomy, urostomy must be self-managed
Bathing and Spa Services
  • Bathing available for clients $15.75
  • Foot care and hairdressing (additional cost)

Fees: $43 * additional fee for transportation, bathing, and extended day (Wed. $10.75 more)
