Service Description:

As part of the Ontario Network of Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Treatment Centres, the Sunrise Centre supports survivors of sexual assault or intimate partner violence. The program provides trauma-and violence-informed care that is timely, confidential and works with the individual
The program can be accessed through the emergency department or through partnerships with Family Transition Place, Dufferin Child and Family Services, Caledon Dufferin Victim Services and the Ontario Provincial Police
If a client's access to the Sunrise Centre is through the hospital's emergency department, the client will be supported by a team of health professionals, including Forensic Nurse Examiners who are trained to support health-related needs, as well as the optional collection of forensic evidence
To speak with a forensic nurse to find out which sexual assault/intimate partner violence treatment center is closest to you, call the Ontario Network of Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Treatment Centre’s Navigation Line 1-855-NAV-SADV (628-7238)
