Service Description: Respite offers flexible, short-term care and support that meets the needs of the person and their family by providing people with the daily routine of caregiving and/or being with their family so as to assist in sustaining personal health and well-being

The Centre offers

Community (Out-of-Home) provides twenty-four hours of out-of-home respite care seven days a week, offers up to six beds to people who are currently living at their own home or with caregivers or other community partners, provide care and support to the person and or family. We will also assist with the development of new skills that will enhance the person’s quality of life

Day-Away Day Program Aging at Home Initiative provides an opportunity to socialize and participate in recreational and leisure activities designed ideally to support people above the age of fifty-five and is ideal for people who may be experiencing cognitive decline. Support employees provide a safe and secure environment with a program of activities structured to meet the needs of people with memory impairment and cognitive decline and helps each person to maintain life skills and assists them to remain in their community longer. People who attend this day program are also eligible to attend the Out-of-Home respite program

Application: All referrals for residential programs must be made through the DSO (Developmental Services Ontario
