Service Description: Program for caregivers or friends of people with mental illness and/or substance use challenges

Program:

  • identifies and understand own ability to cope and support loved one in their recovery journey
  • explores family’s personal beliefs, values, and knowledge about loved one’s illness
  • offers short term counselling individually or with loved one
  • identifies family strengths, needs, and awareness around caregiver burnout and self-care
  • offers support groups and workshops

Application: Interested individuals can call office or complete Registration Form on-line
Eligibility / Target Population: For family members, caregivers, friends struggling to understand and cope with the complexities of their loved ones mental health illness and/or substance and who reside within the communities of Ontario Health atHome, Central West region
Languages: English
Language Notes: Translation and interpretation is available for most languages. Kindly notify If interpretation services are needed
