Service Description:
|
The regional renal program provides critical kidney care to patients across the Central West region, offering a wide range of kidney care services, including:
-
early diagnosis, treatment and monitoring
- treatment counselling
- dialysis
- preparation for kidney transplants and dual kidney/pancreas transplants
Depending on patient needs:
- connect patients with the services and supports they need, both at Osler and at partner facilities
- support and follow patient progress every step of the way
- offer services such as home dialysis, when possible, to promote a flexible, independent lifestyle
Osler's renal program partners with:
- St. Michael's Hospital and University Health Network (for transplantation services)
- Ontario Health atHome, Brampton - Central West Region
- The Kidney Foundation of Canada
