Service Description: Supports immigrants, refugees and citizens in their settlement and adaptation process. Helps newcomers and citizens to be fully engaged in Canadian life, including the social, economic and cultural aspects; and to maximize the benefits of their contribution into Canadian society. Settlement counsellors assist clients either one-on-one or in a group setting to overcome day-to-day challenges, provide services of benefit to them, and support them as they integrate into their communities

Workshops on various topics are delivered every month these include:

  • Government programs and services 
  • Sponsorship
  • Landlord/ tenant rights 
  • Ontario School System 
  • Parenting 
  • Financial 
  • Healthcare 
  • Applications 
  • Life skills training 
  • Assistance with documents and referral translation services
