Trained primary health care professionals who are experts in normal low-risk pregnancy, birth and newborn care provide a complete package of prenatal, birth and postpartum care and address the medical and non-medical needs of women and their newborns * offer "choice of birth place" to their clients and are equally comfortable attending births at home or in a hospital setting
Have hospital privileges at Headwaters Health Care Centre and offer midwife-attended hospital births as an option for families
