Safe, secure and anonymous way for individuals to stop or solve a crime or potential crime without fear of retaliation or involvement in a lengthy criminal proceeding * the public can submit information anonymously online or by calling the tip line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week * if tipster provides information regarding a person or persons responsible for a crime they may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2000
Volunteer led, civilian non-profit organization not funded by government * dependent upon corporate and individual donations as well as fundraising activities * January is Crime Stoppers month
