Service Description:

Group exercise classes, as well as falls prevention class series, for seniors living in the community. Funded by Ontario Health atHome and led by trained fitness professionals, these classes help improve mobility, reduce pain, enhance balance, and build strength. They also provide a welcoming opportunity to socialize and build new friendships while staying active
Classes are offered on a regular weekly schedule and are open to adults 65+ from anywhere in Ontario

- Weights and Stretching - an easy-to-follow class that blends light resistance training with full-body stretching. Strength exercises help maintain muscle and bone health, while stretching supports flexibility and relaxation. A great option for participants who enjoy a classic workout formatEquipment: hand weights (dumbbells or soup cans), resistance band (ideally one light and one medium), sturdy chair without armrests, water to drink
- Low Impact Exercise - a gentle, mostly chair-based low-impact cardio class designed to keep the body moving without stress on the joints. This class focuses on simple strength and cardio patterns performed at a manageable pace. Movements are adaptable and can be performed seated, with options to stand if comfortableEquipment: sturdy chair without armrests, water to drink
- ChairFit Combat - a chair-based cardio kickboxing class set to music. Energizing, empowering, and joint-friendly, with a focus on cardiovascular fitness and coordination. Includes mobility and stabilityEquipment: water to drink, sturdy chair without armrests
- Strong on Your Feet - stay upright, strong, and resilient. This fully standing, music-based class builds cardiovascular endurance, balance, bone density, and strength through low-impact rhythmic movement and resistance band training, ending with a stretch.
