Service Description: Classes designed to increase balance, strength, and flexibility, to build self-esteem and maintain independence, and reduce the risk of injuries and falls  * offered in a group setting with other peers

General Exercise Classes:  is a combination of light cardio, strength, and balance exercises to improve general mobility, endurance, and balance

Falls Prevention Classes: gentle classes for individuals who use mobility aids, have had a fall in the last 3 months, are new to exercise, and/or want an overall body workout at a beginner’s pace

Telephone and Virtual Group Programs for Seniors:

Advanced Exercise - faster paced seniors’ fitness class on Zoom combines standing light cardio, strength and balance exercises to improve overall mobility, endurance and balance. Resistance bands, balls and weights are sometimes used. Led by a Certified Seniors Fitness Instructor - Mon and Wed - 10am

Mandarin Exercise - same as Advanced Exercise class - with instruction in Mandarin on Zoom - Tue - 10am

Gentle Exercise - seated seniors’ fitness class includes strength and balance exercises that can be safely done at home to improve mobility, endurance, and balance. Resistance bands, balls and weights are sometimes used. Led by a Certified Seniors Fitness Instructor on Zoom who describes the movements for people joining over the telephone
