“The support group was a fantastic outlet to share our thoughts, feelings and experiences. I felt less alone after being a part of this program.” - Joyce What to expect This program runs for once a month on the third Monday of the month.
You will be invited to share your story with the group to the extent you are comfortable. Common topics raised include coping with practical challenges, work disability, relationships, treatment, anxiety, and feelings of isolation.

A number have shown the effectiveness of this type of support for increasing functional comping strategies, improvements to quality of life, reduced pain, and reduced depression and anxiety. Some studies have shown they lead to an improvement of treatment compliance, immunological defence mechanisms, and family relationships.
