Please note: If a session is cancelled due to inclement weather, the session will pivot to run virtually at the same date and time. This session will be used for caregiver coaching and only mediators of the participants will be present for the virtual session. This group will be delivered Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00am - 10:00am.
Our Getting Ready for Group curricula helps introduce fundamental skills to successfully participate in a group setting. Using evidence-based strategies, this group aims to provide the opportunity for participants to develop early group readiness skills based on their individual needs and interests. Topics explored include: transitioning away from caregivers, understanding visual schedules, following individual and group instructions, sharing, waiting, turn taking, and interacting with peers, transitioning between activities and spaces, and tolerating others in close proximity. This group is overseen by a Registered Behaviour Analyst.

Registration NotesPlease note: You are currently registering for a mandatory sample session. Payment is not required at this time. Registration for a sample session does not guarantee a space in this group/camp. After the sample session a Coordinator will reach out to discuss next steps.
Once a group registration request is received on My Community Hub, a Kerry’s Place Intake staff will reach out to request updated documentation, as needed. Documentation includes: Written diagnosis of ASD, Kerry’s Place Service Agreement (valid for 1 year), Supported Person Profile (valid for 1 year), Media Release (valid for 1 year), and others as needed.
Please expect a call from Kerry’s Place to confirm your registration. You will then receive a reminder email 48 hours prior to the session from the facilitators that will include further details related to screening instructions, sign-in/sign-out procedures or Microsoft Teams Link (if applicable).
