The Ontario Health atHome - Brampton (Central West) is
pleased to announce the launch of Exercise and Falls Prevention Programs for
Stroke Survivors and Seniors Living with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
(COPD).
The Stroke and COPD programs consists of strengthening
and balance exercises to reduce the risk of falls and offers a variety of
health and wellness topics that are important to seniors.
These programs are supervised by a qualified
physiotherapist and delivered by a physiotherapy assistant and are offered free
of charge for seniors. The goal of the Stroke and COPD Programs is to
support seniors’ ability to stay active and healthy close to their home and in
their community.
