Service Description:
|
Community Mental Health Counselors (CMHC) in the General Mental Health stream work with individuals who are:- 16 years of age or older
- have been diagnosed with a serious and persistent mental illness
- require assistance in order to live in the community
- willing and ready to work collaboratively with CMHC
Counselors in the General Mental Health stream have the knowledge and familiarity with community resources and provide: - strength based recovery model
- supportive counseling and health training
- work in partnership with other community agencies in providing services
