Our emotional regulation curricula help to establish and develop participants’ abilities in the identification and use of skills in regulating emotions. Using evidence-based strategies and curricula; this program is designed to support participants in identifying emotions in themselves and others. Participants will learn strategies to self-regulate reactions and responses, as well as preventative strategies to solve problems in social situations. Activities include deep breathing and mind/body awareness exercises, and identifying the right strategy for you. Topics may include labeling and recognizing emotions in oneself and others, perspective taking, calming strategies, identifying signs of stress and anxiety in oneself and others, problem solving skills.
This Program is overseen by a Registered Behaviour Analyst and is an eligible expense under Core Clinical Services (CCS) within the Ontario Autism Program (OAP).

- Full Refund (-10% Admin Fee): 30+ calendar days’ notice prior to service date
- Partial Refund (50% of total): 14-29 calendar days’ notice prior to service start date
- No Refund: fewer than 14 calendar days’ notice prior to service start date

Please note: Once a group registration request is received on MyCommunityHub the following steps will occur:
· A Kerry’s Place Intake staff will reach out to request updated documentation, as needed. Documentation includes: Written diagnosis of ASD, Kerry’s Place Service Agreement, Supported Person Profile (valid for 1 year), Media Release, and others as needed.
· You may receive a call from a Coordinator to gather further information prior to confirming your spot in the group.
· Please expect a reminder email 48 hours prior to the group starting from the facilitators that will include further details related to screening instructions, sign-in/sign-out procedures or Microsoft Teams link (if applicable).
