Kerry’s Place is excited to offer Transitional Aged Youth Socials (TAY Socials): Pathway to Independence, which focuses on daily living skills. The program is created for autistic youth ages 14-18, transitioning towards independence in completing routines, healthy eating, employment skills, post-secondary supports, and social awareness.
There are ten online sessions where participants will participate in fun and interactive activities, games, and lessons to help promote the development of new skills. Sessions are geared towards the following topics:
- Week 1: Routine Building
- Week 2: Healthy Eating
- Week 3: Job Readiness
- Week 4: Interviewing Skills
- Week 5: Financial Literacy
- Week 6: Identity
- Week 7: Managing Emotions
- Week 8: Online Safety
- Week 9: Post-Secondary Support
- Week 10: Wrap up and Review
