Service Description:
|
Provides comprehensive care for women throughout normal pregnancy, labour and birth, and for both women and their babies for 6 weeks following the birth (postpartum visits) * midwives can offer prenatal testing such as bloodwork, genetic screening, ultrasound, and other tests where indicated, and most medications pertaining to healthy, low-risk pregnancies * midwiwes are also trained to provide breastfeeding support * for more information about registered midwives, visit the College of Midwives of Ontario
